Operanation 6 is just around the corner and once again we want to be your hook up to one of the hottest tickets in the city. The passion of Bizet’s fiery opera Carmen and the delicious flavours of Spain come together to heat up the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Operanation 6, Habanera.
We will be giving away two tickets (valued at $125 each) every week leading up to the event. The 100th and 101st person every week to e-mail us at operanation@notabletv.com will be chosen.
Habanera attendees will be treated to a variety of performances including one by mezzo-soprano Lauren Segal. Ms Segal is currently appearing as Mercedes in the COC production of Carmen performed on the Four Seasons Centre stage from January 27 to February 27, 2010. Joining Ms Segal will be innovative and award-winning percussion quartet TorQ. Improv troupe The National Theatre of the World will create their own interpretation of scenes from Carmen encouraging audience participation. Guests will heat up the dance floor alongside performers from Toronto’s City Dance Corps to a mix of fiery beats courtesy of DJ Nick Fiorucci, Hi-Bias Records Inc.
Guests will also have a chance to find out their own fate, thanks to Tarot Card Reader, Tara Greene. Will their destiny be better than the ill-fated Carmen?Let’s hope so.
Guests can sample mouth-watering cuisine featuring pomegranate chicken pinchitos, grilled rosemary lamb chops, prawn escabeche skewers, miniature pringas, and a paella bar. The evening also includes a full silent auction with luxury and specialty items such as: vacation packages courtesy of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts; a Bell PVR receiver; a $500 shopping experience at Yorkdale Mall; Toronto Maple Leafs tickets; men’s and ladies designer fashions; movie screenings; restaurant and theatre packages; and much more.
