Bombay Sapphire flew in their Chief Mixologist, Merlin, from the UK all the way to Toronto to teach some of Toronto’s “who’s who” a few mixology tips for the upcoming hot Toronto summer. You certainly won’t be out in the sun without a drink idea after watching this. We also spoke to Merlin about his incredible career traveling all over the world teaching people how to make drinks in style.
Random Fact: The event was actually at the late Ted Roger’s mansion in center of the city. Ted Rogers was the owner and CEO of Rogers Communications and also the fourth richest person in Canada- imagine what his house looked like! The current owner was generous enough to open his doors to the Bombay Sapphire team and the Notable TV cameras!
The Sapphire Collins is a definite must this summer, and so easy to make!
You will need the juice of one half of a lemon
Roll the lemon on a flat surface to allow more juice to squeeze out
Add about the same amount of sugar syrup (2 parts sugar, 1 part water, heat it up)
Add Bombay Safire (as strong as you would like your drink, we recommend 1.5 ounces.)
Add some ice
Top it off with some soda water
Voila!
The cocktails were paired with a fantastic assortment of tasty nibbles from Eatertainment’s menu. Eatertainment is Canada’s source for entertaining. Click on their link to access trends and recipes, and awesome entertaining ideas. They have everything you need to help you entertain better!
