The summer of 2010 is finally here! All of those highly anticipated backyard and rooftop cocktail parties are on the horizon, and what better way to gear up for the hot season than with a few expert tips from Bombay Sapphire.
High atop one of Toronto’s most beautiful rooftop patios, Notable host Julian Brass gets a few lessons behind the bar and in front of the grill. The famous gin company flew in their chief mixologist and brand ambassador, Merlin Griffiths, all the way from the UK to Toronto. He’s joined by celebrity chef and The Food Network’s License to Grill host Rob Rainford. Together, they teach us how to make the best cocktails, and serve up the tastiest BBQ, all using delicious Bombay Sapphire.
Merlin gives Julian a lesson on the Boadas Roll, a technique straight from sunny Barcelona. It’s a great way to chill and aerate your cocktails, making them as smooth as possible.
Julian also sits down with Josie Dye of Oh So Cosmo as she weighs in on what makes an expert griller. It’s notable advice fellas! (Hint: It’s all in the technique, not the equipment).
Bombay Sapphire has been the gin of choice since it began to be distributed in 1987. It’s used in fine establishments all over the world.
