The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) hosted its inaugural Speed Mentoring event March 31 at BerBer Lounge to connect some of the advertising industry’s up-and-comers with those who have made it. Mentors from the advertising world – including everyone from Mini Canada director John Capella to CBC general sales manager Scott Moore – shared their experience with young professionals looking to get a step ahead in the industry.
Participants were given 10 minutes to ask about anything pertaining to the field of advertising while enjoying horsĀ d’oeuvres and cocktailsĀ in an intimate, one-on-one setting. Not only did it give aspiring advertisers some insider knowledge from some of the best, but it also provided a unique opportunity to exchange business cards and establish potential relationships.
In this video, we speak to 10 advertising leaders to find out one thing each of them would tell entry or mid-level advertisers looking to get ahead in this highly-competitive industry.
NABS Speed Mentoring was sponsored by CABR, CBC, and Casale Media.
